Wood fired Basket with Wood Handle

This multimedia piece showcases a beautifully crafted basket, meticulously thrown on the potter's wheel and enhanced with carving and paddling techniques. Fired for 30 hours in the firebox of my wood kiln, it embodies both artistry and durability. The handle, sourced from the lush forests of New Hampshire, is thoughtfully wrapped with cording, copper wire, and shell leaves, complemented by delicate sea anemone spines. This unique creation is a testament to the harmony between nature and craftsmanship.

Wood Fired Pitcher

This unique pitcher features a beautifully crafted body that combines wheel throwing and thoughtful alterations, complemented by a hand-built spout and handle. It was fired for over 24 hours in a wood kiln constructed from repurposed materials, showcasing a commitment to sustainability. The interior is finished with a classic Shino glaze, adding a timeless touch to its design. Perfect for both functional use and as a stunning decorative piece.

Wood Fired Faceted Bowl

This stunning piece is wheel thrown and expertly faceted, then fired in a wood kiln crafted from repurposed kiln bodies. It features a beautiful lavender matte glaze, with the rim dipped in an ash glaze. The unique color of this piece is a result of the atmospheric changes in the wood kiln, making it truly one-of-a-kind. Each detail reflects the artistry and craftsmanship that went into its creation.

Wood Fired Vase

This piece showcases a unique crackled surface, achieved by coating it with sodium silicate and then expanding it from within. It was then wood fired in a kiln constructed from repurposed kiln bodies, adding to its character. Finally, the classic Colman's Tea Dust glaze enhances its beauty, making it a truly one-of-a-kind creation.
